Please read this email carefully and fully understand all the policies and procedures around practicing at the Padavan-Preller Fields and how to go about it. 

Here at HBQVB we encourage all teams to practice througout the season.  We will try to provide as much practice time as possible.  Understand these procedures and policies so that

Keep in mind that due to all the league games, rentals and other events there is limited time to practice.  First and most important....  YOU MUST RESERVE THE FIELD/CAGE FOR PRACTICE.  Unfortunately, even if you show up and the field is open, you will be unable to practice.  Work and projects are planned based on field availability.

To Reserve A Field:

**  You can visit the fieldhouse to reserve a field for your practice.  A HBQVB Board Member/Volunteer will look up open field time and let you know what is available, if anything. 

**  You can book for 1 week only. If you come up on Thursday, you can only book to next thursday.  If you come on Saturday, you can book up to the next saturday.  We need to keep it fair and even for all.

**  The only times open (based on availability) for reservation is Monday - Friday 4pm - 5:30pm and 6pm - 8pm.  Saturday and Sunday 4pm - 6:00pm (later time will open in mid season).  That means that if you call a practice for 5pm.. YOU HAVE HALF HOUR TO PRACTICE!  Remember, 4pm - 6pm or 6pm - 8pm!

Policies:

***  You must clean field and prepare for game.  Ensure dugout is clean, mound is ready and plate is ready. 

***  You may be asked to get off the infield for field preperation at anytime.

***  If it rains, all practices are canceled. 

***  Games/Rentals will replace practices if necessary.
